Leave it all to KDDI—from office interiors to IT infrastructure buildout! A one-stop solution powered by Japanese-quality proposal capabilities and progress management

Marubeni India, a local subsidiary of Marubeni Corporation, was planning to relocate to a building still under development. Interior and IT construction plans had to be adjusted in detail in line with the progress of the building-side work, requiring advanced project management.
In this project, KDDI India provided a one-stop service covering interior design, IT infrastructure construction, stakeholder coordination, and schedule management. In November 2025, the handover of the new office was completed, enabling a smooth relocation in a short timeframe and the establishment of a stable working environment.
Complex coordination was required in accordance with the progress of facility construction for the unfinished building, and there was also a risk of work stoppages due to air pollution. It was also necessary to align design and IT requirements among members from different cultural backgrounds.
One-stop delivery from interiors to IT infrastructure
We handled everything in one package, managing interiors and IT in parallel and minimizing the customer’s coordination burden.
Advanced project management to address external factors
Amid factors such as delays, specification changes, and construction stoppages due to air pollution, we conducted meticulous schedule control and plan adjustments.
Japanese-quality proposals and workmanship
Through repeated discussions, we aligned differing design and IT requirements. Construction was completed carefully at Japanese-quality standards.
KDDI India had earned trust as a partner that understands both local circumstances and Japanese-quality expectations. Under complex conditions, our ability to deliver interiors and IT as a one-stop service, together with our management capability to execute quality, was highly regarded. This led to us being selected as the partner to lead the relocation project.
We repeatedly negotiated and closely shared information with the building side and the owner, revising the schedule as needed to minimize the impact of unexpected factors. We also responded quickly to on-site issues such as inadequate drainage facilities. Amid India’s uniquely fast-changing environment, we continuously updated the work plans, flexibly proceeding with the parts could be worked on at the time, and ultimately achieved completion and handover as scheduled.
KDDI India carefully gathered requirements from both Japanese and Indian sides in the project, balancing specifications between Japanese-quality standards and local needs. We reconciled preferences for a fully wireless setup with opinions favoring a hybrid of wired and wireless for safety and stability. We also worked through details such as the mounting height of facial recognition devices through repeated dialogue, consolidating the requirements into specifications that were acceptable to all parties.

Facial recognition was introduced for entry/exit control. The originally planned wireless operation was optimized to a hybrid configuration of wireless and wired that takes both safety and stability into account.
For the large conference room (capacity: up to 36 people), we introduced an advanced audio and conferencing system integrating an AI camera and AI speaker. Automatic zoom and sound pickup based on the speaker’s position creates an environment where voices are easy to hear even in large meetings.
We designed a calm cafeteria with a wood-grain theme with comfort and convenience in mind, coordinating with the building side to secure the necessary water supply and drainage.
